I wish... when you killed the bomber in #1 formation position, the drone from #2 position would not automatically warp into the #1 position.
It is kind of annoying...

1000x agreed.

Just warp the PLAYER to the #2 drone, and NOT vice versa!

The warping drone, be it a sudden jump to the #1 position, or when pilot in gunner position does not bail quickly, so you have drones blinking all over the sky while lead plane plummets to Earth, are annoying.

Unfortunately, I think the way its modeled is too fundamental to existing code to see any change done to it.

My complaint comes more for being unable to engage the second bomber,  I think I've only ever collided once or twice with a bomber.

That's why I always hit the left drone first, then the right drone, then the lead.  No warping around, changing places.

I start left, middle and hold the trigger so he warps right into my rounds.

It would be alot better if the drone flew into lead position instead of warping there.

I like attacking (center) lead  first because once it blows up it takes a second or two for the buff pilot to target you again, and gives you a chance to follow through with your zoom.

What  I  want is a tighter amount of allowable separation.

For example.

You cut a guys wing off and he does a death spiral . After a little bit of time drones start doing the same.  I'd like to see the drones keep going straight and lvl. If the guy doesn't bail out of the wounded buff within say 1.5 k drones go poof.

I swear some guys use this to get the attacker to dive on leaf like drones. Once they are committed on the dive they bail. Then the drones go from the leaf flutter to fft level with the attacker going diving past blowing his shot.

Drones really need some tweaking IMHO.

yea, I ho'd the lead bomber and when it died the other bomber warping to the lead position died instantly because I just held the trigger and the 3rd did same.  Now this all took place in a matter of 3 secs for all 3 bombers, lol.  1 Sec per bomber.  I believe I killed the pilot which resulted in killing all 3 bombers in same fashion.  BTW, it was a formation b26's.

No, keep letting them drag the drones down with them, I have a ball sending them all fluttering down just short of dropping their bombs.

And (personally) the only time I have an issue with the drone warping into the lead is on an HO run, which I very rarely make. Best way to work around it is to go for lighting them on fire, not blowing them up. Takes a lot less ammo and a lot easier to avoid collisions.

Don't get me wrong, I want to see them fix both issues, but there are ways to work with the limitations they impose.

Actually the warp is a bug that I haven't been able to find.

I dunno if he means he hasn't seen in, or its a bug he can't identify, I'm leaning toward the latter.
