Hello ive been playin AH for about 2yrs and have been pondering on whether I would be any good at skinning? Another thing i downloaded the terrain editor and i dont kno how to wrk it,Krusty it seems like your one of the top skinners. Could you help me out?

Well first, thanks for the compliment. I see myself as more the vocal minority in here anyways :p


The terrain editor is for building maps (hills, water, bases, etc). For skin editing you just need a graphics editor that supports layers (photoshop, gimp, paintshop pro, and others).

In theory it's easy. You just draw the layers so that when you save it out it looks like an airplane. You use the default skin for any given plane as the template and draw layers on top of it (but not drawing directly on it).

the terrain editor is for making new maps and if u want to make a map got to the terrain bbs and down load denholms tutorial.

  This is a good tutroial for the serious terrain builder
