Strategic Bomb Run
« on: February 14, 2007, 05:20:43 PM »

Before Christmas, Filth hosted a bomb run and it was lots of fun.  There's something about flying in a large group of bombers that is just plain cool.  Then to see the group drop on a target and just flatten it is even better (even if it doesn't have a significant impact on the map).

In this spirit of "Flying Buffs for the Fun of it" we'd like to invite everyone interested in flying a strategic bombing mission (or escorting one) to join us on Sunday night at 7:30 Eastern.  I'll update the Mission Info above late Sunday afternoon.

It would be Sunday night wouldn't it? The only night I work in the next 7?

Have fun, flatten some real estate for me. :cry
Treize (pronounced 'trays')- because 'Treisprezece' is too long and even harder to pronounce.

Yep, pretty much just look for posts about Bomber Wing, or by FiLtH, and show up.   We had a real nice box last time, High, Lead, and Low formations of at least 6 or 8 flights of buffs each.   Real nice looking formations.

Love big buff runs, but only if the lead plane runs at less than %100 throttle so every one can keep up/stay in formation..

Yep, show up about 7:15 and I'll have a mission up.  On the clipboard click on Missions and you'll see Sunday Night Bomb Run. Click on the mission and then click on what flight you want to fly in.

The mission WILL launch on the half hour, no waiting around for guys.

It depends on which arena has enough room and what the state of the map is.  That's why I will need to update the image in the first post about 2 hours before the mission.

What's AEST?

Australian Eastern Standard Time...

But my state does not use Daylight savings so that means I have to subtract an hour off the conversion....

IE: 3pm Sat on the 17th of Feb USA time is about 5 or 6am Sunday on the 18th Aussie time
