........but I hope some of you guys can offer some feedback on my choices.

I've been out of AH for, oh........three years? Real life stuff made me reprioritise things, among them upgrading my computer. I did buy some stuff last year to upgrade, but ended up installing them in my son's system, so no AH for a while longer.
The IRS taketh away, then they give back come refund time........I ordered most of my parts last week from Newegg, still have some odds and ends to research before I buy, but here is what I have on the way to my house so far:

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe 2.4GHZ LGA 775 processor
Asus P5N-E SLI LGA 775 Nvidia nForce 650i Intel motherboard
Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2X1GB) 240 pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 memory
Antec Nine Hundred Ultimate Gamer case
Antec True Power TP3-550 550W power supply with three 12V rails
Western Digital Caviar SE 250GB 7200rpm SATA hard drives (x2)
Thermaltake Purepower Power Express power supply for graphics cards
EVGA e-GeForce 7800GT 256mb PCI-e video cards (x2 for SLI)
Samsung DVD burner
LiteOn CD-ROM drive

Of course, I had to have some new pedals, so I ordered some CH Pro Pedals to to with my trusted Saitek X-45 setup.
Still debating the CRT vs LCD issue, am partial to Samsung products myself, since my SyncMaster 955DF is still going strong after 6 years.

Anyone have a similiar system build? Anything I need to look out for?
Last thing......a question: What sound card seems to work best for AH? I dont do a lot of music stuff on my system, nor do I see myself doing so in the near future. I just want to get a good sound card that has few or no issues in AH.

The processor is a no brainer, good choice.

Nice choice on powersupply.

The ram is fine.

I would have went with a different chipset on the main board. If you are going to run SLI the 680i is the best chip. The board you chose is x8 when in SLI. The 680i is true x16 for both PCIE slots. The 680i is also more stable for the higher FSB numbers required when overclocking conroes.

I would have went with a seagate 320 gig 16 meg cashe drive(s). Or a RaptorX

No need for the extra powersupply, the Antec 550 is plenty. It is SLI certified after all.

The video was a bad choice IMHO. If you are going DX9 SLI, the 7950 is really the best choice. In that price range though crossfire X1950XT's would have been even better as they are faster than any of the geforce 7 series cards and go for around $220-230.

Just my opinion FWIW.

The story behind the video card is that I bought it last summer in nearly new condition, but to use it I was gonna have to pretty much build a complete new computer. I wanna try SLI, so already have one 7800GT on hand, I purchased another to go with the first one. It may not be the best or newest, but I am having to relearn a lot of stuff since I haven't gotten into the new technology a whole lot in quite some time.
The Western Digital HD choice was another personal preference of mine. I have owned several brands of HD's over the years and have yet to have one from Western Digital go bad on me..........

If you already had 1 7800 then you did the right thing. I am not knocking the 7800 series at all, I just think there are better options in that price range right now.

Everything but the motherboard. I went with the EVGA 680i motherboard late last year and haven't regretted it at all. BUT it was an expensive part of the kit and took $250 of the budget for my system by itself.
