If, as the editorial suggests, this guy can cause some rational actual debate on ISSUES rather than powder puff and the blame game he will have accomplished quite a bit. I for one wouldn't mind seeing that.

We need more than sound bites that say nothing as a platform for being elected. We do not need any more he did this, she didn't do that, I have a plan or I am the decider.

We need someone to step up and say this IS my plan and how I will implement it with cooperative effort with Congress, as well as this plan will accomplish X if done. If you cannot express the plan, it does not exist.

All 3 branches of Govt. need to function and 2 MUST cooperate in order to get anything done in a timely and rational manner. Petty differences need to be put aside and a definite shift to determining what the country needs from what the elected official needs is long overdue.

DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

I'm not a republican myself, but after the dems won the senate and the house, I would have loved to see Bush get a crapload of pens.  One for each and ever bill he would veto.

Just to throw a wrench in the works.

But Bush is a pansy and has promised "cooperation."

About a hundred more of this guy and we'd be set. We'd still get most of the reality tv entertainment value of C-SPAN without the annoying legislature to go along with it.

Do a look up of this guy and research.  Been following this guys career for some time now. His thoughts on the Constitution and Bill of Rights sugest he is in accord with what many believe is the CORRECT way of viewing said documents. Everything I've ever read that he expressed says he IS.

He is NOT for an America based on religion, BUT he is for indvidual rights PLUS individual responsibility.

If anything he is a Liberatarian.

IMHO, he's near incorruptible.  He's made a career out of sticking to his principles, even to the point of voting AGAINST subsidies that his constituents would benefit from, yet they keep voting for him.

If he picks Ted Nugent for a running mate, he'd get my vote.
