EGO-tripping (a major example)

Guys I just had to post this...

It's originaly from the AGW board.

Aparently there is this guy in WW2online who has fomed the 8th AF. He calls himself General Balo and is from AW. He's got a squad based on the 8th AF with 2 members in every fighter/bomber group. (hehe so bout 12 squaddies to form the entire 8th AF)

Alot of people get of course pissed off cause he's so arrogant to call himself the surpreme commander and enviting existing fightergroups/squads to join under his organisation. Then he continues that he's going to form Patton's 3rd army also under his command... You got to read this it's so funny

 http://www.wwiionline.com/ubb/Forum6/HTML/000244.html

And this is his webpage
 www.tir.com/~genbalo/home.html

Mmmm... this is not funny at all  ... is this guy a total looney, does he realy believe what he's saying....?

Your opinion plz

Here's my rule of thumb for forming historical units:  Choose a historical unit size that is no more than one size larger than your current size.

If you have enough guys for a squadron, form a squadron or a group.

If you have enough guys for a Staffel, form a Gruppe.

That way you have room to grow without hogging up all the unit designations.

People like Balo should (and will) be ignored.

LOL!! You guys wouldn't believe the arrogance of this guy.

His unit comes from AW3 Relaxed Realism.

We were holding a Pearl Harbor Scenario, where each of the two teams would play both the American and Japanese sides, I was CO for one side.

Now we had signups, and told people that if they wanted to fly with their unit to signup for the same side and include their squadron name in the comment field, so we could assign them to the same flight of aircraft.

So we had signups, and guess what Balo and his crew ended up signing up spread out equally among the two different teams (about 8-9 pilots total).

And then he made a huge stink about them being split up. So the two CO's for the event, got together and bent over backwards to get these guys on the same side. And had to do a large player swap (and this is just one week away from gameday).

So then everything is happy.... right? Wrong. It turns out my team (the one these guys are on) ends up being the Japanse first.

So Balo says he isn't playing "any stinking Japs" and threatens to quit and take his squadron with him, if they are not all immediately transfered to the other team.

So I told him "Bye bye". Whats really funny is, that once asked his squad members, decided they wanted to fly and didnt' care what he thought.

And this wasn't the first stink he caused in AW Scenarios. He's caused many others, including a very strong allegation of cheating, by using one squad member as a "spy".

In short he's a total ass.

AW?  Hehe, not to demean AW, but alot of AW folks (like myself) would  say they've never really had a good flight model until AFTER  they've left.

Ego's and opinions are like a__sholes, everyone has one and they all stink!

Ahh.   One several reasons I got so sick of AW is now planting his seed at WWII Online.
THIS guy is just one really good example of why $10/mo does NOT work.

It does make for a really good laugh though!
