My friend starts to ask them really tough homework questions. Considering he's a computer engineer of some sort, they most often don't know the answers.

I heard a recording of a dude who pretended to be a homicide detective... he gave the telemarketer such a hard time you could almost hear him wee'n on himself in his call center in another state... It was brilliant... I won't go into details because I'll just ruin it.

Thinking about this still cracks me up...

I just tell them that I'm saving my money to hire a lawyer for when they take me to court. I'm on disability and get less the $440 a month. A judge would probably just laugh at them if they did.

We're on the do not call list, they think they are exempt or some BS.

If you did business with them in the last year ( I think - maybe 6 months?) you have to write them and specifically tell them not to call your home. If you haven't done business with them, the only people exempt are charities and politicians (go figure).

Chase Bank is very well known as a scammer... large bank.. just crooked.. check BBB and others you will see what I mean.
