Andy is quite the amazing player.

You may also want to check out a guy by the name of Tommy Emmanuel.  He is more well known, but in my opinion he is much better than Andy Mckee.

Another great acoustic player you may want to check out is Michael Hedges.  Different style than the above guys, but still an amazing musician worth looking at.

Watched Tommy on PBS the other week. Outstanding.

I've had Mckee's album for some months and it is yet to leave my player.

Thanks for the post Red!

One good perk about living in Austin is the local bands and new talent flowing in this town. Every night of the week you can listen to some junk but their are some people that have great skills... Born and raised in Austin, been to so many concerts and live events i really stopped going about two years ago.

Eric as some skills and drinks like a Irish Dock Worker. Their are only a couple videos on the web but look out for this kid..

One Monday night i was walking down 6th street with my girlfriend. If you know about 6th street their is always music flowing out of some small bars as you walk the streets. For the most part i tune it out but that night i heard something coming from this little bar that made me stop and take a look. Their were only a handful of people in this bar and Eric had just started. By the end of the night it was packed and even the cops were standing outside with about 100 people with their mouths wide open.

Hes good really good.

I'm familiar with 6th street. It's a great place to hang out for the younger crowd. I don't mind going down there in the late spring early summer time. Just for a kick or 2.

The last time I was down there , wifey decided she needed a tattoo after we had done the "1 Shot in every bar" thing.

:lol

I enjoy listening to a guitar played like McKee. Good break from loud R&R or Country.

FX...we should get together for some Mexican and Rittas some weekend.

We have been going to see reckless kelly at places like nutty brown but summer we like to go and see bands on th lake. Got a group of friends that see music 4 nights a week.

Last time i was their my gf of two years decided to have a couple shots lost her purse with my keys. I got really drunk and decided to walk to my friends house for a surprise visit in on 8th street and their was no one home.

wished i would have called that cab earlier because it was something like 2 miles. Two drunks walking around in nice neighborhoods drunk.
