Smoke from the engine, not the prop.
« on: February 21, 2007, 04:08:42 PM »
Self explanatory. Why does burning oil come out of the propellor and not the exhaust stacks? I can see the oil splatters coming back from that area, but why does the smoke not come from where it should?

Most of the time its not that noticeable, but when you are either trying to maneuver or going nose-high for landing, it becomes extremely pronounced, both from the cockpit and from the outside.

If its something that cannot be changed because of the coding or the game setup, then OK, but how much work would it be to change its point of origin to the exhaust stacks or, say the supercharger vents?

The fuel and radiator leaks come from the right places, why not the engine?
Treize (pronounced 'trays')- because 'Treisprezece' is too long and even harder to pronounce.

I like this idea, seems odd that it would come from the engine, not the exhaust openings. Especially when you go vertical, it's odd seeing smoke coming out of pure sealed steel hoods.

In a couple of planes the smoke comes from ABOVE the prop, actually on top of it outside of the plane.

No, I'm not kidding. Some of the smoke just has a bad "origin" point or something.

Yeah, another thing that annoys me is the "airshow smoke" from the AR-234. For the left wing it starts ahead and to the left of the wing.
