Prince Harry, third in line to the British throne, is to join troops serving in Iraq, defense officials confirmed Thursday.

Why not?  Prince Andrew saw action in the Falklands.  He was Exocet bait.

He's supposedly going to lead his squad on motorized patrol. Basra is fairly safe for now but I would expect mounting insurgent action there once it's known Harry's in the area.

It is interesting that Tony B. had said just last month that any withdrawl or time table for withdrawl of British troops would be a mistake, guess the Queen had a bit of input on his recent decision.

You call Scimitar a tank?

Harry is trained to command a reconnaissance unit of 11 men with 4 Scimitars. Scimitar is vulnerable to any weapon bigger than a hammer.

If the Scimitar were in AH2, I would bounce 10 rounds off of it, then it would promptly take out my Tiger's turret with 1 shot. :D

Bully for Harry!  Stout lads, those Brit throne possibles.

Yes, any VIP in a combat zone makes it tough on everyone around him or her.  Bullet magnet indeed.  Nevertheless, always inspiring to see high ranking leaders out there leading their troops in the field.  :aok
