So there, I broached the subject.  I watch it ( in privacy of course).

This year looks like a train wreck. I can't imagine a male singer making it into the top 5. And of the girls, I think only 4 are good. The last female singer last night is the apparent winner. This year looks to have no suspense and little entertainment.

One of the girls is from my home town. She was horrible. Simon said something like "I guess you are trying to make it on your looks".

Hometown girl

Says West Hollywood in bio, but she is from Redlands, CA.

I don't think she's gonna last.

My favorite male singer so far is the beatbox guy, his singing voice is surprisingly good, plus he's confident enough to do something as crazy as beatboxing on national TV, and do it well.  Didn't like the guy who made the teletubbies crack at Simon Cowell, that seemed like a graceless cheap shot.

Seems like there are two girl singers that are actually good.

Regarding Mr. Cowell, more so than ever, he seems to be the only competent judge.  I used to watch and think "this guy is a jerk", but now I'm watching and realizing "No, he's being honest.  He might not be tactful, and occasionally he twists the knife a bit, but in the end, he's giving it to them straight."

Give it time. The pressure will grow the good ones really fast.

I don't know her name, but I think the last girl to perform last night will win it. I suspect the producers feel the same way, and its no coincidence she was last. Its a lot like the scenario that played out on Rock Star Super Nova where the eventual winner, Lucas, strutted out last and gave a great performance.
The last girl has some minor problems with annunciation, but nothing a vocal coach can't cure in a few lessons. She's the winner.

I agree about the beat box guy. If any male makes it to the top 5, I think he'll be it. His performance was the only one I liked out of the males. I thought most of them were awful.

Cowell knows his stuff.

Now it seems some internet photos of the Joisy goil Antonella Barba have surfaced on the internet (and well worth a search for  ).

She'll probably get kicked off "Idol" , but you'll be seeing her in the tabloids and on calenders for years.

I actually met Antonella last summer at the shore.  Incredible body, but what a b*tch.  Right out of the movie mean girls...Was really corny.

A friend still keeps in touch with her, and she in fact will remain on the show.

No doubt about it, she's gorgeous- every inch.

I guess she'll be the new Paris Hilton. Eye candy.

Truly nothing new in the world: American Idol is the Ted Mack Amateur Hour incarnate.

Which is fine.  Kinda like NFL walkon tryouts, or whatever they call them.  Always great to find talent however it emerges.
