You, uh.. do realize that navy seals didn't exist in WW2? The closest they had were the so-called frogmen, and they really didn't go storming into the front lines (dealing with mines, harbors, sabotage, etc). They wouldn't really compare to ground troops occupying and capturing a city.

I would tell you more but then i would have to kill you... although that wouldnt be an entirely bad thing...

Give boats, vehicles and planes the ability to pick people up before we give them more ability to drop people off...

actually a better and more fun troop carrier would be a DUK.
same speed as an lvt4 in water more speed on land

Larger profile, larger target, less armour than an LVT = Dead DUK.

and didnt the DUK only have one .50 cal too? instead of .50 cal & .303 cal...
