What the hell is "qttask"?
« on: October 13, 2001, 12:00:00 PM »
Hi All,
Before playing AH I use a little program called "enditall" which takes me down to just "explorer & systray". I then re start anything I need. Recently if I "Alt-ctrl-del" to pull up a task list I find a process called "qttask" is still running. Anyone know what it is? I manually end it and it doesn't restart until I reboot but I have no idea what it is. I havn't loaded anything new for sometime apart from 1.08.

Thanks in advance

Qttask.exe monitors the Windows registry for
changes to the QuickTime MIME associations.

You should be able to stop it from starting up by editing the run key in registry or if you have 98/me the easy way is to run
msconfig
and go into the startup tab, find and uncheck qttask
