I've been playing a lot more as GV just for something different and I still don't get the whole TT deal.
I tried giving TT a go last night and it just doesn't fit my playing style. When I'm in a tank I want to keep moving and attack ground targets on the move. Seems what most want to do is sit in one spot and cherry pick spawns.
I'm not going to bash them for it, to each their own, I'll agree having to drive to an A base or another V base sucks a bit but so does sitting in one spot spawn camping just to rack up a bunch of free kills. Hell at least if you vulch an airfield in a fighter you at least have to fly the thing.
Only time I will camp a spawn, is if I'm trying to defend a base that's under heavy attack or if it's to take a base. I've spawn camped 2 A bases so far while waiting for more air support to keep a fighter cap.
As far as the whole bombing GV's at TT, I still fail to understand why they feel it's unacceptable to bomb them. Ok I might find it a bit lame to try to carpet bomb them in a Lancaster or a B24 but hell when I'm in a GV I figure the planes are there to keep me on my toes.
In fact TT might not be too bad if more people bombed it, would get the spawn campers a reason to have to start their engine. That or get rid of the town and make it like normal terrian with trees and so on. That would at least force people to have to move around to find a fight.
