The town should be just big enough so that one guys in an ostwind does not have enough ammo to take it down and capture it by himself. Hw would need to drive in supples first and work abit more for the capture.

you gotta fly from a1 to where the map says big arse town

if its not there go to BountyHunters.us.tf

Nilsen all it takes is one fighter with a 1k bomb to cut that osty's run short.

I think the answer is to make it less effective on ground targets. But thats HT"s dept.

Yup either way is good with me.

To fix the capture rush one may also consider having to kill VHs to capture V bases too, and not just pork the ack.

In LW arenas yes, in EW & MW not always - No need to drop VH if no defender is online or the only one has a hard time covering 4 flashing bases at once ;)

Here are some pictures of a town I made a long time ago. It has a few bugs, yet sorrily can't be used in the MA. I've played in it with some other people a few times, the middle of the town is more than just a death-trap, and you CAN'T destroy the town with even 2 tigers fully loaded with HE rounds.

What about auto-PAKs (anti tank guns). At least would require to have a decent plan on how to get to the town with GVs alone.

I kinda like that town setup.   use just 1/4 of it,  add ack to each corner, one on each side, and a VH in that one open corner with a couple of ack around it

I like that idea alot.. especially having a 2nd vh in the town.
A larger town with a vh would make for some really fun ground war/base captures.

Pull up the Japan Map and take a look at some of the major cities.  Great work done on that one.

While the pictures load I shall recommend you get a reliable host (http://www.picturehangar.com) and you use .jpg format to reduce file size.

EDIT: Now that I see it, WOW! Great job on whoever made that, it must've taken more than 4 months to build. Great effort on the custom trees, buildings, tiles, streets, etc... Only problem, you can't have a city that big as a map room. It's simply too bugy when you try to make a map room that over-laps 1 tile. That's why a design such as mine is a little easier to deal with.
