200 Can be fun but few takes it over the line....

Ive learned from other players using 200 in smaller arenas and used it before during and after fights...

If used properly it has a place...

Sometimes the calls of HO, Dweeb, etc etc etc go over board but most of the time I will simply respond politely explaining it from my perspective and thats normally it...

But hey maybe im not good enough to thump my chest on 200, so to each their own....

Just should try and keep it somewhere in the general neighborhood of good taste and fair play.. its still only a game..

I haven't read the whole thread, but I just have to say that pipz is a stand up guy! :aok

He's one of the best guys that AH has! I unfortunately use Ch200 and it does me no good, it would be best to keep it shut but it has some weird entertaining value in it. :D

Anyways, pipz, if you ever want to join to the finnish channel with us finns, just give me a shout...it will be mostly finnish but I promise to throw some english there aswell!! :aok

About a week ago I was looking around for goons to kill in my K4 so we wouldnt loose a base. I was about 7K and soon four dots came into view three coalt and one on the deck. I knew the one OTD was a goon so I hit WEP and started diving to get speed. The tree coalts were now about 3k above me when I pasted all of them they didnt even move it was like I wasnt even there. I droped in on the goon and kill him right after that I looked behind me to see a ki84 , niki , and 190 all about 5k out. I droped below the trees trying to get back to my base. the 190 and and ki was gaining on me and once the 190 was 1000 out I turned to try to make him over shoot but he zoomed back up and waited till the niki and ki were right on me and making me turn as ard as I can. He then started to BNZ me missing everytime. After about 2mins of turning the niki got me and not 15secs later oDALLASo tuned to my vox and started blabing about "you really did'nt think I'd let you land that goon kill did you" and other stuff like he was hot watermelon and just pwned me in a 1v1. It was the funniest thing I ever heard like if they killed me thier goon would come back to life and me killing him did'nt count.

Larry, smack monkeys are impervious to reason and stuff like "a good fight", or earning good kills rather than not... they'll smack you whatever happens.
All that makes a difference is shooting them down over and over again, whatever the odds, whatever the ACM (i.e. HOing too if it comes to that).  You have to kick out all the rules and leave none of their attempts, however good or bad, unsquashed.
Only then is the holy light of righteous smack extinsguished in their heads :p

The good news is that the AH community does still have the ability to regulate itself. Thank you HTC!

And I'll take this opportunity to add one gentle reminder.

Everyone has more than enough frustration, anger, and unhappiness in their lives. No need to share yours with us. Leave it on your side of the monitor.

On the other hand no one gets as much respect, camaraderie, and good will as we deserve. Feel free to dispense it as needed. Its amazing how a little trickle of respect here & there sent to others will in time turn into a flood of respect coming back your way. Really, give it a try!

Yes we know you just ended up back in the tower. But if it was a worthy foe, step up, send that . And if you just won, what does it cost you to pull some of the sting from his defeat. A quick helps take the sting out of losing and encourages fair play.

It seems everyone forgets 2 simple facts.

A This is an online flight sim, EVERYONE DIES! Yes even HT

B If you just died, you made a mistake, someplace.  Somewhere you made a decision that cost you. Rather than whine about it, or blaming someone else,  learn from it.

Very well put!
And as if getting sent back to the tower isn't bad enough then you have to go and make an azzzz out of yourself complaining to the one that killed you.
To be honest, i have sent a comment flying, actually slayr1 got me a couple times on the runway,(my fault for upping again) in just a few seconds.
i forget what i typed out to him,but nothing in the form of a compliment.
i figuered out where he was coming from in his 190 and went to meet him, i was so pissed!
i spotted him, almost co-out with him, i was so eagar to kill him i climbed to meet him,and.......back in the tower, its not bad enough i got killed(again) or that i could still hear his cannon firing for a few seconds(really hate that), but after sending a nasty note his way im sure he had a great laugh on me! and to top it all off, i feel bad for the pm i sent him.

So when ya get mad, take a breath, take a minute, hold your tongue, everybody will be better off.
ESTES- will you have my baby?

When I recieve a , win or lose, it does remind me that there is a respectable person controlling that other cartoon plane, and makes my experience that much more enjoyable.

But a certain person has pushed the limit of harmless trash talk, and I would like an opinion on the matter. Here's the scenario, name ommited due to issue:

Myself flying alone out of quiet field to help fight off base cap.
Along the way, spot high con incoming to field.(myself thinking tasty bombers).
Change course to investigate, find lonely 109 or 190 (cant remember).
High con dives, I turn to avoid. He misses and extends.
I give chase for a bit, then think he's heading home, so I head back to intended destination.
He then returns, and tries same tactic.
I again avoid, but this time I am able to reverse and get on his 6 about 400 out. ( by this time we are close to deck).
Since I am now on his six, he now intentionally puts it in the dirt.

There's the "fight", now here's what follows:

I get a private vox message stating something to this effect:

"You know cutting throttle like that is going to get you in trouble. Me and my friends are going to find and kill you. Good Luck."

Now that statement could have been taken in game, or out of game. That is the issue here.

Now for one thing, you can type on 200 and call me every swear to sunday, and it is never taken personally. It is a game after all. but to vox something like that to someone seems a little over the line. Now this person has vox'd me before, but usually picking on what I choose to fly, or how I fly it, ect. But this particular vox, in my opinion, is on borderline of report. I'm a grown man, so I, myself, feel no threat whatsoever from this, but I know that there are plenty of younger folks as well as old, and I would hate to have someone of the younger generation get this message and really feel in danger.

Any opinions?

I think you're reading waaaay too much into it.
