Explanation post for those needing to know
« on: March 07, 2007, 10:52:46 PM »
Since the incorporation of multiple arenas, there has been a noticable change in the way some fly, fight and base taking.  Where once squads of 15 or more rostered gamers were normal, some have downsized or others just disbanded and split into small groups.

Hence, at times, ways of keeping things enjoyable and different are always looked for.  Our squad has switched countries when needed for a night, and at times split into 2 different countries on the same map to help even numbers in the smaller arenas.  And there are times that we split for fighting each other instead of going up as a group only to be fighting against a country that has less than half what our squad has logged on.

Lately in the last month or so, I have noticed getting alot more "flak and accusations" from others in the arena.  It has gone from inquiries in the beginning to the last incident as frustration and anger, even from those that have been flying with or against the AK's for years.

Now, this isn't a flame, complaint or a post to start anything of the sort.  As ingame statements are blown aside as soon as they are said.  I am however posting this to let those that need to know that the integrity of the game is very high with the AKs.  Some of us may banter and from time to time someone may get frustrated, but noone in the squad has never and will never cross info on cv locations, mission movements, NOE runs, troops otw locations, etc.  There is no other agenda but flying and fighting.

This is a game, a game that the AK's take great enjoyment from and doing so would not only take away from that, it would also take it away from others.  If this explanation does or doesn't settle the minds of some, I can't help that for as we are still going to enjoy the game.  But if anyone ever finds that anything of the sort has happened, please send it to HTC and also myself.

Anyone taking it that serious as to accuse you of anything in the game isn't going to get it Kaz.

More power to ya for having fun and keeping it in perspective.

KAZ, accept the following for what it is.

"We", as in the Nightmares, change countries more often lately, because the missions are planned in advance, and the ENY prevents us from running them in our "home" country of Rooks from time to time.

Complaints are ignored.  It's not our problem.  Those that know us individually or as a squad accept that it's nothing personal, it's just a mission.  Those that don't get it are not even on the radar, so it's a non issue.
When we log into another country, we talk with those who accept us, ignore those who don't.  I, nor most of the squad, do not log in for the sole purpose of entertaining someone else.

When I was with the =GHOSTS=, it was the same way, again, some get it, some don't.  The fact of the matter is I'm here for those who get it, and pay no credence whatsoever to those that don't.

AKs are a class act, always have been, always will be.  Again, those who get it will have your back, those who don't are irrelevant.

Although I have seen some of the reasons you felt inspired to post this, I will say firsthand that the post was not needed, you do not need to explain nor justify yourself to those who know you, and those that have crossed the line will miss the point of your post altogether.

Get back in the air where you belong Sir, and give my regards to your squadron.

When I was a BK, we took **** for this kind of thing constantly. It was about that time that I realized how seriously some people take this game. It's pointless to try to explain why you're doing it. There are people in here with a level of paranoia about spying, c*****ing, and dual accounts that just boggles the mind. It must suck to be them. I don't see how they can even enjoy the game.

Nice post Kaz. Seems a little ironic that those who switch up sides with the intention of balancing numbers are labeled spies & traitors...probably by the same folks who are the first to rant and complain about high ENY's :t

Alot of people are as loyal to their chess pieces as to their favorite football team. Both are games and both have staunch supporters. Many people don't know one squad from another. They don't know Established squads from little Timmy's squad that he and his little brother made up........and then tells everybody on country that his little brother is a "chess piece" and "He's gonna tell us where the carriers are!"

Others buy in because they don't know any better. "shrugs". You just need a squad that nobody has every heard of and all is well. They won't know what country you are supposedly associated with.   :D

Please be seated.

First I am sure all if not almost all the serious squads out there have a code of ethics. We do. And as matter of fact I broke one standing rule where I ditched out of a plane to go get a goon. But in the situation where ti occured ti wasnt a big deal cause there were like 40 knights there.
BUT on to Ethics. Precision is a fairly new squad on the scene as a whole, but some of the players have been around for awhile, which in this instance Ill say a year. Including myself. We really dont have any rules per si, but SPYING, doesnt take place in my outfit. I can also say that we try to adhere to an unwritten set of ethics and thats not to be an A-hole. The Ho it happens, Im guilty of it, petty I would say really, general flying of dweebish aircraft, absolutely. Extremely organized Bombers, definitly. But as far as cheating and all the other crapola taht follows a not legit player, including dropping troops to deack, you will never see a Precision player doing. As it is, I really respect all of my squaddies, and would go down in flames to make sure someone else gets home. No-One gets Left Behind. No-One.

Good day Gentlemen:p

Forgot who said this while trying to take a base, but the quote goes like this. "I cant help you with ack, Im not in attack mode" This is with only 2 ack up in the town while troops were there, waiting. The rest of the town was down.

{S} AKs.

As a squad that is as old or older, and as large or larger. We don't question or condemn your actions...unless you are vulching the field I'm trying to defend

I have to agree, these new split arenas are not always conducive to large squads for many reasons. One of our original core values has been to stay loyal to our side no matter what the situation. For over 15 years we've abided by this.

If you or we, were to switch midstream as a whole unit, odds are the pendalum would swing too far the other way and therefore not help at all.
Splitting is definately an option and these new arenas have definately had nothing but negative effect on our squad with our current MO.

I applaude your creativity.

If you're not doing any of the above, then who cares what all of they nay-sayers of 200 or the BBS have to say.  It's your squad, do with it what you will, and forget about all of the smack talking.  If you didn't decide to split up in a smaller arena then people on your country would complain that you are raising the ENY.  No matter what you do, someone will whine about it.

Keep doing what you're doing as long as you're having fun!
