Why was it that the C Hog's graphics were not updated when the other variants had theirs done?

I'm pretty sure that it's because the -C was just a field modification. Once we get perk ordinance modeled, it's out of the set...

Er, no. The F4U-1C wasn't a field modification. The reason it was not updated was because HTC is working on a "perked ord" idea, where they can perk a weapons package. When that time comes, they will add a 4x20mm cannon option to the F4u1D (which was upgraded) and totally remove the 1C from the lineup.

I don't know if this is a good idea. For 1 will it still show up as 1C in the icon? If the D-Hog is only 10-15ENY, does this mean the perked plane will still be available after the 5ENY C-hog should be disallowed?

There's too many questions left unanswered.

I think WW said they were F4U-1A's that were rearmed in the factory (as you said) with the 20mm.

...particularly since it is the skinning community that has been doing a lot of the work anyway.  BUT that leads me to my second question which is "then why wasn't the TA-152 done?"

Na, 152 just too buggy to get into. Not going to be used for CT. I think it's a different situation for the c-hog.

I don't think they want to bother with it, is all. It's got problems with balance and flop, and a lead weight in one wing, and another in the tail, and so on and so forth. HTC quite tight-lipped, as always, so my guess is they don't want the hassle of redoing it yet. They've got other fish to fry with CT-related aircraft.

They started with the  -1As, but they used -1Ds as well. (Our -1C is a -1D modified bird).

I can't hold a candle to Widewing's knowlege, of course, but the serial numbers of the -1Cs show that the C-hogs were modified from Corsairs that were pulled off the regular production line. As I recall, the outer wing sections for the cannon armed hogs were subcontracted, and were assembled away from the main factories,

Then, whenever they received a shipment of the cannon armed wing sections, they would use whatever airframes were next on the line to assemble the -1Cs. That's why the early C-Hogs had the fuel tank arrangements of the -1As, and the later ones the same layout as the -1Ds.
