I just installed the Rockfire today. I was getting the ( 0301 PS/2 keyboard error or not connected ) message. Found that if I unpluged the PS/2 adapter and repluged it in keyboard would work fine. After some testing and research I found in the F-16 Fighter stick instructions. Under my keyboard is not recognized etc. #2 states " you are not using a programmable keyboard". Sooo... I replaced the keyboard with a non-programable one and booted. I still got the error above, but after the desk top loaded a hit the number lock twice and the key board works. No unpluging and rebooting.
Now that's about as far as I can go here but if someone knows how to stop the error from coming up I believe the keyboard will boot just fine. I checked the computer I got the keyboard off of and the drivers are the same as on the one I use.
I had on the orginal keyboard a set of instant access keys and in control panel that is a seperate icon from the keyboard. Could this be the cause of the error? I don't want to remove them until I'm sure that is it but I feel that it maybe.
Any and all input accepted.
