ports & dsl modem

Hello.

 I have an Ethernet card that plugs directly into my dsl modem. I read that we need access to ports 2000-6000. I'm not getting discoed or anything, but I am wondering if my IP connection is set up as it should be.  I typed my default gateway in the address bar and, Oh My!, that's a can of worms on that page.  I don't see anything that says the modem has a firewall. This is what I see in the nat/gaming section:

Do I need to fool with any of this, or are the ports needed getting threw automatically? Actually, I know so little about this IP stuff that I am struggling to even find questions to ask about it all. So any comments or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

If your DSL connection is through a modem and not a router, you do not have to do anything with the ports.  The DSL modem is a dumb device, with no firewall.

Not true, my DSL modem has an extremely strong firewall. So strong, it asks for the computer name, not it's IP address.

I have a Linksys wireless G Broadband Router.

I have a Port Range Forward and a Port Triggering section.

I need to know what ports and where to open them for host server/s online, 8 player, or LAN.

I tried without any port mod, first and the server showed in the list of servers, but couldn't be joined.

BTW, I ask because I don't know or couldn't find what ports AH2 Server need open.

I have no problem join other peoples servers.



Any help will be appreciated, ahead of time.
