This is for jihad specifically, but I couldn't find his e-mail address nor was he online when I logged off. So I'm posting the film here:
look at
http://www.engr.orst.edu/~bloom/film145.ahf (approx 750kb)
This film is longer than it needs to be, only the first 2 minutes or so are what I wanted. The rest of the film is me flying around pretty much aimlessly before pancaking myself into a hill by misjudging my altitude.
Anyway, what it interesting about this film is what happens that allows me to kill Jihad in that yak.
Upon reviewing the film I realized I pretty much flew in front of the Typhoon (skykar sp?) and probably stole the kill from him. I didn't realize he was as close as he was at the time. (Sorry Skykar.)
You just kind of have to see the film, but I took off the yaks entire tail with 2 or 3 pings max. I'm not even sure if they were all cannon hits!
The other thing Jihad was wondering was how I caught him in the first place. I think the film shows it was nothing like super E retention or anything. I just climbed up and dove. I never turned at all. I'm not used to flying the spit, and this is a tactic right out of the p51 and p47 playbook. Just zoom up and use roll to position for a dive.
I don't exactly want this to become a flame war about how poorly the spit is modeled, super Hispanos etc... Mainly I just wanted to get the film to Jihad, since I don't have his e-mail address.
