Olevia makes a 38" LCD HDTV 780pi monitor. Can this monitor handle the gameplay of Aces High. Was just wondering if anybody is using this monitor, any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I hooked up an olevia 36 inch...then i took it back...here is why:

1:  I have a 22 inch square CRT....it sits about 14 inches from my face
2:  The 36 inch monitor was probably about 2x as far off my face but even then the "edges" seemed very pixelated...the game was not as sharp...to get the game to look better i had to almsot stand up and walk back...so it really wasnt tons of improvement from sitting close to my crt.
3:   I like my vertical views when im dogfiting etc...the widescreen takes some away from there and gives you more horizontal (no use to me really)

I have spent a lot of time looking at the different widescreens...sometimes a store will have the same video feed into different monitors....what i have noticed is that  the image that fills the widescreen vs square monitor is basically slightly horizontally stretched!!!  iim not sure if this is what aces high does but it seemed like it.

just got a 22" widescreen... I forget the settings and will have to look at them later but after some tweaking I got that 'stretched' look off.  however it cuts off the top approx 1/3 and bottom 1/3 of the screen.  Ive got me thumbstick to take care of that though

How are you connecting this TV to your computer?

What resolution are you running?  You setting your resolution to the tv's naitive resolution?  What is the max resolution you can send through the connector that you are using?  Some tv's are 720p but can't accept that resolution if you use S-video or the Yellow composite input.

FALCONWING may have not done everything correctly so I urge you to do more research.  For all we know, falconwing could be a mental patient who gets internet access once a week.

As for the brand, I'm a Samsung Fan.
