Doesn't look like a bad system. I do like the config options that they offer. For the price you can come in a load cheaper than any Alienware and get the same stuffings for your new rig.

Only thing big I would have changed is the vid card...  An 8800 would be a lot nicer.  Even in AH you should see better image quality from a higher level of anti-aliasing.

Another neat thing I incorporated into my last system build was a floppy drive that also had a multi-format flash memory card reader built in.  It takes up the same space as a normal floppy drive but can read almost any kind of flash memory, right on the front of the computer.  It only cost about $25.

Still, it looks like a nice build.

The 8800 still has a lotta bugs. It's got rather poor driver support right now as well. It also costs a lot more than a Ge7950, if I recall. 7950 will last him for years without getting dips below 100fps, and at least it's got better drivers. It's a toss-up.


Also, I've got one of those floppy drives as well. Mine cost $19. It's a Mitsumi FA404M. Funny thing is that on my ASUS motherboard after installing SP2 I had to "roll back driver" on the USB hub or something or other, to get it to work, but on the new mobo (ASRock) I didn't have to at all. Interesting chipset differences.

I went for the 7950 card cause of buggy drivers they are writing about .

Since I have followed Skuzzy advice , the activex don't work on this site so your gonna have to click on Picture Hangers link to see it

All working fine but the sound card , seems that the mic volume is very very soft and tried everything we could think of to fix it . They are gonna have to RMA me another one to replace it .

I always get a cheap case , this is the best one I have had yet to date . Plus the quitest PC I have had yet

I did turn it back off after crashing into it twice lmao . Not used to that setting so lawndarted

All in all they did a much better job than I would have done so I am happy to pay the "extra" that was over the cost of the parts .
