Daddog Thanks I appreciate the gracious offer I will tell him to look for you. I would try to help him but the only thing I can teach him in a fighter is how to get killed ....REAL QUICK......and I kinda hope the game grows on both my sons.
Fine sir!

999,
My son (15) plays too, but someplace or other he got some serious gamer genes -- musta been latent on mom's side -- and when he first started he took to it like a duck takes to water.
His first night, his gunnery was better than mine; within his first week he landed 14 kills in a mossy without rearms.
I have gotten over hating him.
Fortunately for my self confidence, he spends most all his game time in first person shooters. Anyway, because he's so natural at gunning and flying, he isnt all that interested in ACM teaching, other than a tactical question now and then. Since I lack the natural talent, I've had to work at things step by step, breaking things down into individual tasks and skills, and learning them one at a time. That's really good for explaining stuff, because you can isolate one part of flying and work on it without being overwhelmed.
A good part of my job is explaining technical stuff to people from outside my field, and I've worked with kids a lot. If he's interested in a session or tow I'd be MORE than happy to show him some really basic ideas that go a long, long way to better flying.
