our old ISP is dropping service here soon and im wondering what would be a good company to switch to

My ISP right now is Cox/Comcast Communications Hi speed internet

My dad wants to jump to Verison DSL/or broadband

im almost thinking AOL Hi-speed

and before you ask i dont like ISDN or Dial up internet

Real internet users don't use AOHell.

Verizon DSL would likely be a winner.

looked into it Verison doesnt have internet service in this area.

whats a ISP that's preferable other then dial up:aok

Whats wrong with what ya got? I'm a Cox (now Suddenlink) customer, been one for a long time. No gripes other than the POS modem they gave me.

No hassle since I had my own anyway.

Yea their service is good but their cutting services here in about 1-2 months
in lamest terms i wont have internet here soon if i dont find another ISP thats reliable

Ive got sbc yahoo dsl.  Havent had much trouble and the internet has never been down in my area.

i think we get yahoo in this area..had yahoo dial uo with my old pc..ill look into that as well

We get yahoo service in this area..but now my dad is looking into AT&T Hi speed service
