Down here in Shreveport, LA for 2 weeks. Finally had the walls chase me outta the hotel room. Went to Barksdale AFB and had a blast...

8th Air Force. More B52's than you could imagine...and warthogs. Spent the afternoon going thru the static displays and the museum.

Barksdale Museum

Got back to the Hotel and while outside smoking I got to see 2 B52's lift off...awesome.

Going back tomorrow just to make sure I haven't misseed anything.

Saw a C-130 do a T'n'G at Peterson AFB here on Tuesday, that's my story. That's cool though, seeing those warthogs. They are the ultimate.

Man the History.... the displays...even the base itself is awesome.

Going to the BX and buy a camera and take pics for me, my Son and post on here.

Agreed the B47 was awesome...SR71, Mustang even better and a C47 too.

Waiting to start my day off right...

a glass of wine, a cig... get outside 1/2 hour before the dawn breaks.. very quiet.

Then the birds wake up...like a Morning Song and the Sun breaks thru the horizon.

And today is 3.16.

It's nice to be Humble.

Hmm. I had a whole day of staff work punctuated by a 3-star General calling me into his office to tell me that 10 months of work might have to be re-done for the third time in 3 weeks. Not his fault, that's just the state of the world today.

It was mostly "fixed" by a Lt Col promotion party at the club. About a dozen brand new Lt Col selects wore their hats in the bar from about 1600 to after 2300. Nicely done, haven't seen the O-Club hopping like that for a long time.
