Probably not, not unless you have a known need for it for a specific application.

BUT
It seems on some level to make sense w/ a 64bit machine that w/ 64 bit windows things would run faster?

It is more trouble than it is worth.  Drivers are problematic. When you can find them they are probably unstable.

I have both XP Pro and XP X64 Pro. There is an increase in performance but only marginally. I quit using the 64 bit version for AH when I started seeing white screen lockups. I think its related to the nvidia drivers but rather then trying to figure it out I went with what worked which is regular XP Pro.
