That clicking sound
« on: January 04, 2001, 03:24:00 PM »
Is there any way to attach a sound to an action. For example, when you hit flaps. You hear them moving. Would there be a way to attach a sound to trims. The A8 has the indicator right up on top for example. This is a big (and arbitrary) advantage over planes, that you have to change views, to see the indicator on.

I'm sure HT can do it, but we cannot "add" any new sound that are not defined.  You can always swap out the wav files and change the sounds that are there, but you can't add any.

FYI there are really two forward views.  One is the "default" or regular view, and the other you will get if you actually map "forward" on your stick.  What I do is map a button to "forward" and then adjust my head position for that view.  I generally adjust it down and back so I have a full view of the instrument panel.  This view works pretty well for "checking the gauges", and is easy to use even in a fight.
