I can't get over the newest Tool Album.  It's been awhile since they released anything and this is true to their form.  It's allways refreshing to see a seasoned band still release good music.  My favorite song off the album is vicarious.  They're coming here in may, if I knew my schedule I'd go see them.

The date they have in may is actually a double reschedule so we'll see.

10,000 Days is actually probably my least favorite Tool album. It is basically all rehashed material, every song on it sounds like a track from one of their other albums. It is still a pretty good album, though, all things considered.

I am a much bigger fan of their early albums (Opiate, Undertow). If you do some searching on Youtube you can find some sweet videos of them playing clubs back in the early 90's. It's a lot more raw and harder metal than their prying-open-my-third-eye-let's-discover-our-inner-subconscious metal.

tool is a awesome band, i just wish they would crank up in the song. it would sound a lot better. most of the 10,000 days songs dont really crank up that much.

I saw Tool at the Warehouse on Toronto on their Aenima tour..One of my favorite bands(though they do take their time making recordings)

One of the best rythm sections in rock imho.

Did you ever get into "perfect circle?"

I did but not because of the origins.  Just curious.

I saw A Perfect Circle in concert March of 2003 I believe, excellent show.  I enjoy the earlier Tool albums more then 10,000 Days as well but to each their own.  It's still better then 90% of what comes out these days.

AGREED,  It's not spectacular but it is TOOL in what we expect from them.  You don't see that with too many of today's groups.
