What squad does .sr look for?
« on: March 22, 2007, 01:58:14 PM »
Your in one squad in MA another one in SEA and a different one in AvA.
When you goto the lobby and do a .sr, which squad does it look for?
Far too many, if not most, people on this Board post just to say something opposed to posting when they have something to say.

I'm not sure Dave, but for the CO's of different squads for different Arenas, it will list everyone that is online regardless of the squad.........

if you are not the CO, then it just shows the members of the Main arenas squads if any are logged in........

my take on it......
"When one considers just what they should say to a new pilot who is logging in Aces High, the mind becomes confused in the complex maze of info it is necessary for the new player to know. All of it is important; most of it vital; and all of it just too much for one brain to absorb in 1-2 lessons" TC

I disagree schatzi.

Like fuzeman I'm in 2, Trainers Corp in the TA and 332nd FM Elsewhere.

If I do a .sr in TA or lobby I only get the trainers.
I actually have to be in one of the mains for it to bring up 332nd.

Ghosth,

might it be that it somehow tracks what the last arena you was in when you logged off? same way it does for the score.txt, the  MOTD.txt, etc?

so for squad members that was in the AvsA  when they logged off, it will show there AvsA squad members if any online, and those that logged off while being in 1 of the MA's last, it will show their MA squad members if any are on?

curious....

True.  My AvA squad gets searched by .sr when I'm in AvA.  My MA squad gets searched - across all of the MAs - when I'm in one of the MA arenas.  Doesn't matter which you were in last, it's the type of arena squad.

Nope, doesn't seem to matter where I was last.

Think its probably more about which one I joined most recently.

It "may" have something to do with which one has members online.

Next time I'll stick to easier questions.

Are you in a squad dedicated to each of those arenas?

As my (only) example, I'm in the Gunfighters in AvA, but Hell's Angels in the Main Arenas, and probably in no squad in the Lobby or DA or SEA.
