I cannot believe he is leaving 4 remaining years on his contract.   But to go to Minnesota?!

Good move, there's no legacy in MN and they need some serious reorgnizing of thier basketball program.

263-83 in 10 years averages  26-8 per year.

According to ESPN.com, "Kentucky will still honor the $1.5 million incentive bonus that Smith is due on April 3."

He'll be a better fit in MN, and the HS coaches are already interested in keeping their talent local. His style of play also benefits the Big-10 and not the run-and-gun SEC.

He'll graduate more players, but MN won't ever win a national championship.
