Plane voting schedule
« on: March 26, 2007, 11:10:08 AM »
Ok I didn't see any more nominations that I felt had a real shot of winning the vote so we're going to continue with the original list.  It probably should have been pared down further to save time but I'm just going to go with it as is and spare some disappointment for a few days.

The voting will be broken down into 5 rounds.  The schedule will be as follows.
Rounds will begin and end at 10 a.m. CDT (GMT-5).  This is an online in-game poll only open to subscribers.  Just make sure that you pop into an arena for each round of voting if you want to take part in this.

Round 1 – Wed Mar 28 to Fri Mar 30.  Bottom 4 choices will be eliminated leaving 6.

Round 2 – Fri Mar 30 to Mon Apr 2.  Bottom 2 choices will be eliminated leaving 4.

Round 3 – Mon Apr 2 to Wed Apr 4.  Bottom choice will be eliminated leaving 3.

Round 4 – Wed Apr 4 to Fri Apr 6.  Bottom choice will be eliminated leaving 2.

Final Round – Fri Apr 6 to Mon Apr 9.  Winner is selected.

Is that ONLY 10:00 a.m. central time?  I'm a poor working stiff...will only be able to vote on weekends if it's only at 10:00 a.m.  :(

That's the time when rounds stop and start, not the very minute you need to vote.  I.E., the first rate goes from 10 am on Wed to 10 am on Fri.

I not so much with the thinking...  When I saw we could vote on the new planes to be added I almost messed myself.  Then when I thought the votes must be cast at 10:00 am...I almost messed myself again.

I feel better now.  :D

Nothing to see here...move along..

Will you post the actual results (number of votes for each aircraft), or just the winners from each round?

I want to watch the various camps go ballistic as their pet aircraft is in second or third place in the overall rankings.  I am easily entertained.

God this is going to be worse than watching the last Presidental election. Blue states, Red states, hanging chads, recounts, unregistered voters....................... ..should be interesting though.

What Puck said.

Hornet, it shouldn't be nearly as bad as that. I've got more faith in HTC than I do in most government employees, especially where math is concerned.

One the list of planes to vote for will there be a brief detail on the plane describing its use purpose strengths weakness ect.??

I'm sure there are many new players or players that do not have a WWII back round on history and m sure it would help a lot by adding a brief background on all the planes listed.

There are a lot of U.S. voters with less information that helped choose our current president.

Doesn't matter. Either they vote or they don't. If they have no clue they'll pick the funniest number, or maybe the one they heard years before, even if they don't know what it means.

Krusty,  it'll probably be closer to this...
"Dude what plane should I vote for?"
"The B-25 dude, it was in that movie "Pearl Harbor" it can take off from carriers!"
