shutting down windows processes

Hi Guys -

There was a post in here a while back regarding a piece of software that you could run prior to starting up a game and it would shut down unnecessary window processes to free up resources and then run it again and it would fire those processes back up.

Does anyone know the name (or can recommend) something similar?  I tried doing a search, but didn't find quite what I was looking for.

Any help is appreciated!  Thansk!

I now use FSAutostart. Initially I forgot that after you set it up, you actually start the application from the icon in autostart.

I like it because you have an icon with custom settings different for each application you want to use it with.:aok
