Plane voting pool?
« on: March 27, 2007, 07:16:12 PM »
Anybody planning on starting up a pool for the voting? I would, but I wouldn't know where to begin.

I take the P-39, He-111, Yak-3 and Pe-2 to go down in the first round.
Treize (pronounced 'trays')- because 'Treisprezece' is too long and even harder to pronounce.

Its not what I want
but I see the 39 winning it outright

Second place will probably be the Buffalo followed by the 25

If we were to go by need.
A perked bomber would be it.
Bomber perks are next to useless right now

Round 1
P39
B25
Brewster
G.55
Yak3
Ki43/Ki44/Ki45/J2M
Tu-2/Pe-2 - Eliminated
He-111 - Eliminated
A26 - Eliminated
Me 410 - Eliminated

Round 2 might be interesting for Japanese aircraft. It depends on how the ballot is presented. Some people may assume all Japanese aircraft listed would be created instead of just one/two. If people think they will make all 4 Japanese aircraft, they would vote that way (4 is better than 1 right?). If there is no confusion then Yak3 or G.55 could last another round and the Japanese aircraft be eliminated in round 2.
Round 2
P39
B25
Brewster
Ki43/Ki44/Ki45/J2M
G.55 - Eliminated
Yak3 - Eliminated

Round 3
P39
B25
Brewster
Ki43/Ki44/Ki45/J2M - Eliminated

Round 4
P39
B25
Brewster - Eliminated

Round 5
P39
B25 - Eliminated

Based this on a large American population in AH, as well as many pulling for a planeset gap to be filled for US and USSR.

Also how will the Japanese fighters be presented in the voting? Apparently they are grouped together, but Pyro included an or. On the chance that Japanese fighters win, how is it decided which one would win?

I'm thinking the 410 and Japanese rides will outlast the Yak and G55.

Brewster fanbois are extremely vocal, but represent a very small group.

I'll go with ...

Round 1
P39
B25
Ki43/44/45/j2m
410
111
Tu/Pe
X Brewster
X A26
X G55
X Yak

Round 2
P39
B25
Ki43/44/45/j2m
410
X 111
X Tu/Pe

I'm honestly not sure on the subsequent rounds. Once their fanatical choice is gone, it's hard telling where the votes will jump around. The IJN/IJA fans may snap and start voting for the 111 or 410 just to deny another American fighter, or the G55 guys might jump to the 410 for another heavily armed LW ride, etc.

It should be interesting.

If I had to wager this like an exacta at Hollywood park...maybe...P-39, followed by the B-25. In this, it looks like the P-39 is the favorite.

I hate to say, but I'm voting non-American all the way. As much as I'd like to see the P-39 eventually, we have more than enough US Iron and are sorely lacking on may other fronts.

I hope to see the 410 or another Japanese addition, but I can't see them lasting past the second round.

I don't see the He-111 lasting just because everyone will say "What can it do that the Ju88 can't" without looking beyond the MA into scenarious and AvA setups.

B-25 and A-26, would love to see, but there are far mor glaring gaps to be filled, same with the P-39 and Brewster.

G.55 would be nice too, but i'd rather see an Italian bomber before another Italian fighter.

TuPe and Yak, just not enough VVS fans to swing them.

I agree that everyone here is very pro american planes and a american plane will win it but I also think the HE111 will last quite far.

Buff pilots will primarily vote for B25, then HE111 and finally A26. They wount care about the Tu/Pe at all, no one will. The 410 will get some votes from the "what ever as long as its late war and rare" crowed as well as from the LW fighter pilots who will spilt their voting between the 410 and the G55.

The yankee fanboi´s will vote P39.

The fins will vote Brewster.

Fans of the pacific theatre will be voting Jap but my guess is that it will not be enough to beat any US plane (except brewster) nor the HE111.

Round 1
P39
B25
111
A26
Ki43/44/45/j2m
410
X G55
X Yak
X Brewster
XTu/Pe

The crowed that voted for the dropped planes will vote for Jap planes (votes from G55 and Yak). Some of the G55 pilots will vote 410 and so I guess some of the fins but they will now spread out.

Round 2
P39
B25
111
Ki43/44/45/j2m
x410
xA26

Now the jap planes will get dropped as the A26 voters go B25 and the 410 voters spread out between 111 and 39.

Round3
P39
B25
111
xKi43/44/45/j2m

From jap planes to P39 which eliminates the 111.

Round4
P39
B25
x111

The obvious result as there are more fighter pilots then bomber pilots...

Round5
P39
xB25

IMO

If buff pilots actually want a perk ride, they'll vote for the A-26.

I think it's absolutely great that people can spend so much time being
concerned about our new addition.  Things must be pretty good in real
life for this to happen..good news :D

No surprises will be had, will come down to B-25/P-39 because MUSTANGE WON TEH WAR~! USA USA go AMIERKIA nonsense.

Edit: Not that there isn't a very good case for the P-39 mind you, but even if there wasn't,,,,,,
