And people dont whine about typhoon because its a difficult plane...anyway the whines are about hispanos, being on Spitfires, Typhoons or hawgs.Anyway, a tiffie has equal firepower than the F4U1-C...but with half the rounds, so the Spray-and-pray is more limited.
Secondly, people of threatening to leave AH because of this plane. Give us a break. This will not work towards your goal for several reasons. First of all, no matter how much you fly, you only pay same 30$ for HTC. Newbie and veteran are equal customers from HTC point of view and they bring same amount of money to company. In WB this was different thing and might have worked but not here. Secondly as HTC frontperson said, they can't and will not give up because of small group of players. This will eventually lead to samekind of shouting contest that WB is currently and I think we all can agree that it is not a good thing. Also excessive whining over pretty petty issue does not do any good for community, especially when it comes from trainers who should act as role models to new players. Shame on you!well people has their rights to say that if this isnt changed, then they will be gone. I agree that a shouting contest is not desirable...but hey!, discussion is good if it goes in a good way.
My two cents... HTC, leave the "cannon hog" to a game. Ordinary players could fly other planes than F4U-1C or then learn how to defeat it. CAP tanks.
when I first came to AH i grabbed a F4U1-C. I started with 2-3 or even 4 kill sorties. I was a newbie with some problems to take off but I still killed one con fer sure in each sortie!!! that means I was a hotshot? no, damn, now, 4 months after it I rarely average more than 2 kills per sortie in that "powerful" fw190
. I used to spray and pray like crazy...one or two pings and I got my kill.
I agree,dont remove F4U1-C. but do something with the turbolasers. I can work a Scissors with my fw190 against a F4U, I can get some pings on it and it still is airborne...if the guy gets ONE snapshot on me I am done...
