Inverse Blackouts
« on: December 21, 2001, 03:10:00 PM »
Yesterday I installed DX8.1; I got a 10-15 FPS boost and I had no dificulties other than having to delete my video.cfg file and reaquainting my joystick with the OS...

...or so I thought.  First time in combat I pull back on the stick and a large black blob appears in the center of my screen.  This blob decreases in size as I pull more G's until the screen goes black with full blackout.  Its the inverse of the normal blackout.

Is there a solution?

System:
CPU - PIII 1Ghz (Win2k w/ SP2)
Video - Geforce 2 GTS 32MB (12.41 detenators)
RAM - 512MB
Sound - SBLive! value (original driver)
Joystick - MS FFB (Win2k provided drivers)
DX - 8.1

I have had that several times, and it always takes a uninstall/reinstall of the game to fix it for me.

Yep. An eye is now growing in your ass.

Reinstall vid and sound drivers if you install a new version of directx.

Check my sig.  Try the 7.58 Detonators with Win2k.
