SURE THEY listened. They listened to the ground pounders complain about how planes shouldn't be able to bomb and straff them.

But I'm just curious about how many WW2OL'ers are over here.

As a pilot only, and as much as I loved the "war" part of it from a pilot's perspective, after a year and a half of mostly not playing as I did the "maybe the next release will be playable " thing, I eventually grew weary to death of the 2 1/2 mile visibility through constant smog - and the single digit framerates whenever I was engaged.

I wish them nothing but the best, and some day, when (if) it's every actually "fl-ightable" I may try again.

But until then ...

I used to play until they implemented the perma-fog, the fog that defied the laws of physics by still existing 10K+ in altitude. Tired of not being able to find anyone to fight... or even fly with... I came here.

I still play 50/50 both. AH for flying, ww2ol for ground pounding.

BTW, in WW2OLers reading this please make sure you get involved in AHs special events (like FSO), you'll love it, guaranteed.

I bought a yearly subscription over there  a while ago so Im still suscribed. I look at the forums maybe once a week but I tried to install a new patch recently and it gave me an I/O error.

To get around it would have required a download and install of the full game and that made me realize that,,,, quite frankly I have no desire to play it, at all. All tracers of the game save my config file has been wiped off my computer and I have zero intention of playing it ever again unless there are some huge massive and sweeping changes over there in regards to the airwar.

After flying in here for a couple weeks and trying to take off into that soupy shat they call a sky.

No thanks. Even seeing that last crappy art render of the new P.40 didn't do a thing for me.

I'm fully converted to AH2.

I used to play wwiionline as McCudden.

As far as ground war is concerned, it blows AH away - it is really very good.  I loved the satisfaction of killing something in WWIIonline.  Popping tanks and making turrets blow.

Air war is pathetic.  Abysmal.  Not even worth trying.

Why i am here and not there :)

Well I did not start in WWIIOL and come over hear. Have always been in AH.

I played WWIIOL for a year. Had a lot of fun with it. Ground war is a blast. Was a nice change from AH when I was in the mood. At one point we had about a dozen squadies playing it and had a Saturday night squad night going on.

My point of frustration was not knowing how or why I was killed at times. Just suddenly dead. Hard to learn from some mistakes.

I used to play.  Brigade spawning ruined it for me.  It took the squad out of it almost completely.

Yup, Brigade spawning, AOs, and Mobile spawning, ruined the ground war. The first 2 or 3 years was the peak.

They did have a good flight sim but listened more to the infantry whinners more thanh the pilots. If they had simply given the bombers a strat system I don't think they would have gone the route they have.

Pretty much glad I'm over here now. ALOT more planes to choose and a REAL strat sytem.
