Tell your voting friends!!But it wasnt a specific "version" for the CV, the way the Sea Hurricane was a modification of the Hurricane. Instead, the Doolittle raid took off the shelf B-25s, top quality volunteers, trained on a runway in Florida with short takeoff lines on it, and practiced till they could get airborne before the "deck" ran out.
After that, the guys who made it were kept on and told what the plan was. They did what no one thought could be done, and did more than that when they had to take off hundreds of miles early after patrol/fishing boats spotted the task force.
the dweebs at Disney did a disservice to their memory when they tacked the Doolittle raid onto the end of that Pearl Harbor fiasco/movie.
Which is all the more reason to put the Affleck effigy in the cockpit!
