herky jerky
« on: December 21, 2001, 08:50:00 PM »
I need some help figuring out a new problem.  With this latest version, I'm experience jerky flight online only.  I can't connect to my usual AOL, so I'm using a local ISP, I'm pretty sure that's the only thing that's changed other than the new version since I last played with no problems.  I vaguely remember reading somewhere that the little computers graphic in the lower right hand of the screen down by the clock was causing problems like this.  Does this ring a bell with anybody?  How was it addressed?  Thanks.

1Double left click My Computer / Double left click Dial-Up Networking Under "Connections"
in the Menu bar choose "Settings" / A menu will pop up and you should uncheck the first
box "show an icon on taskbar after connected".
2 Right click your dial-up connection in the Dial-Up Networking window / Choose
properties/ On the "General" tab, hit the modem "Configure" button / On the "Options" tab, uncheck "Display Modem Status".

Their are 2 things to uncheck.

Remember their are 2 things to uncheck.
Their is a bug in DX8.0 (Their is no Debug
Output Level
) .. the slider needs to be all the way to the left.

Try DX8.01

I have the the suggestd settings for a Dial Up Connection somewhere if you need/want them (I think) ... let me know

Let us know what happen

Good Luck .. Merry Xmas
