Dear Luftwaffe,

Please send more fighters against USMC/71 Sqn. Sending 3 full units did eventually wipe us out, but not before giving us a chance to shoot down about a full squadron before being chopped up :P

If you send a few more squadrons, we might make "top scoring squadron" next frame!

Sincerely,

the USMC/71 Sqn pilots

:rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl

What he said. hehe haha hohohoooot :lol

Why, if it weren't for them rubber bbs they loaded in my Spit, I'd of accounted for 8 or 10 109's alone...  That or I'm just a pee-poor shot.  (finished watching the gun films. ...hmm I am a pee-poor shot)

Hehehe  Send more, Luftwhiners, or my ghost will cease haunting France and head to Berlin!

Not hard to get high numbers when you own the skies. We took on 3 units alone, and were doing well until the 190s dove in en masse. Them's the breaks, I realize, but we had it handled until that point. Most of your 109s were running for home or totally tied up. I personally put 2 out of the fight and possibly a third. Considering we were in one of the weakest aircraft and scored second only to the AKs (flying typhs and mossies, they were!), I think we chewed you up just as much as you chewed us :aok

I found it funny that only 12 Spitfire Mk IX's were used by the Allies.

While on the same token No Axis pilot flew Bf-109G6's.

Would like to here some reasoning behind both of those decisions.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Being one of the SPit drivers I can only say; Ours was not to reason why.  Ours what but to go and fly what the CO said we wuz flying.

Still, 12 vs 40 odds and giving as good as we got is a pretty good warm and fuzzy don't you think?

Yes, Very Fuzzy.

Where do you live in Northern Virginia Odee? My Dad lives in Winchester. I live in WV.

Not sure. We had a full unit of 109s at first. We met them high, we at 25k them slightly higher. We mixed it up with them, shot down quite a few. I know the second group of 109s was another unit because they came in high, in a solid group. They got the radio call and headed toward us. We shot down some of them, some others stayed around. About this time 2 190As showed up with them I think. Kinda foggy on the timing of the arrival of the first 2 190s. Then right at the end (where we all got slaughtered) a solid group of 190s came in with alt and speed.

First 109 group almost done away with = 1 squad, second 109 group = 2 squads, add the 190s and you got 3 squads. That's why I say "3 units"

It was one of the best, most intesnse, fights ever! I wouldn't have traded it for a thing! (except maybe a SpitIX!! heh heh)

I think your 2 groups of 109s was actually the one whole of the JV44 in two waves.   (checked logs and confirmed it was just the 16 of us ya'll ran into)

I survived, as did 4 of my squaddies.  I think we lost 10 to e-fire and took 6 or so of you (then them dern 56th took the rest!)

Good fights from what I hear!

More? You sure about that? Our "full unit" of 9 took 27 of your scalps with 2 losses.  Not sure I would want any more of that if I were you. Even so, was fun killing you Krusty :D

well casper and krusty in fog of war.

USMC ran into us first (17)USMC vs (13)JV44, sent out 3 scouts.

USMC had slight alt advantage, and a huge fight ensued, BnZ planes vs turn and burn planes.  Was a fun fight, we had fun. we got scattered, trying to avoid  gettin tied up in the spithive.

Apparently, one in five people in the world are Chinese. And there are five people in my family, so it must be one of them. It's either my mum or my dad. Or my older brother, Colin. Or my younger brother, Ho-Chan-Chu. But I think it's Colin. - Tim Vine.
