Cleaning pots - how?
« on: October 24, 2000, 02:40:00 PM »
Getting bad spikes, but only in one direction; when I pull the joystick twoards me. Of course, it's the most important direction.

So, I picked my koy apart, but how do you actually clean the pots? No space there I can clean as far as I can see.

The joystick is a CH Fighterstick.

Anyonene know where I can get new pots?

Santa,
Cleaning them *may* temporarily fix the problem, it may not as well.

If you go to CH products  website, go to support, and tell the via their webtool what your problem is, and tell them the potentiometers are no good.  They will send you new ones in the mail.  Took about 5 days to get here, I imagine it may be something like 2 weeks to get to your neck of the world.

Thanks rip.

Then I just gotta work out how to change 'um  .

To ttell you how incompetent I am; when I was putting back the joystick, I managed to squeeze a wire, and lost all pitch control  .

That's why I like puters; just format the damned thing when ye have porked it
