gear lust, and a total lack of self control...

kinda cruddy photo, http://www.jacksonguitars.com/products/search.php?partno=2913000533

jackson Pro Series RR3 Rhoads. picked it up yesterday after it distracted me from a mexi-strat, didnt put it down until i had paid for it ...i had been avoiding touching the jacksons for weeks now, because i knew i wouldnt be able to resist. im  just lucky it was a good 36% off.

:D

feels and plays incredible, sound is damn good even through my crappy 10 watt, and the floyd rose is a complete pain in the ASS, but hugely worth it...if only it didnt have the lame 80s hair metal look.

Had a '86 Jackson Soloist.  Bought it for my 20th birthday.  At the time I thought the pointy-heady stocked shredders were the bomb.  For 10 years I lived with a sore thumb due to the thinness of the neck, designed for shredders which I never did become one of.  I traded it for a Strat in '96.  Nice guitar though, RR's are the bomb.

im not overly thrilled with the shape myself, its a bit unweildy for playing while sitting down, everything else about the guitar more than makes up for it, and i dont really have to look at the thing while playing it either.
