Hey Doc, I know that there were a couple of groups that performed at Westover AFB in Chicopee a few years back.  That airshow is usually held every two years.  I don't know if the groups are still active though.  They were static displays.  They had a German and American camp with a few Gv's that you could poke around in.  That was about 10 years ago.  If I can find those pictures, I'll post them.  Google it.  Maybe you'll get lucky.

I do know that most of those re-enactor groups require that you purchase specific equipment to participate.  The uniforms are usually replicas but they do pay close attention to details.  That can become an expensive hobby.  I knew a guy that was part of a non-profit group that refitted a DC-3 with OD green and invasion stripes for the new england area.

Either way, I'm sure they would be very helpful even if it's just to talk to them.  Good luck.

Theres the WW2 museum in Wolfeboro.

Maybe someone there might know. Other than that, some nights I paint my face black and pretend I'm french underground awaiting an arms drop. But usually I just end up passed out in a field.

Oops, went over my head.

I'm sure if you go to some museums or do a search on the internet you can find some re enacting groups, or if you ever go to re enactments you can talk to some of the guys there.

I was in a unique WWII reenactment group once; our youngest member was 14.  I'd say it depends on the group.
