I'm feeling like my machine is not as spiffy as it should be.  It does have a huge virus on it called "Windows XP Pro", but otherwise looks to be pretty fast on paper.

At 1024 texture I get frame rates in the low fractions flying over a busy base.  At 512 textures I'll still slow down into the teens.  Generally I'm pegged at 60 (LCD refresh rate).

I run FSAutorun and kill most of the processes, including virus scanning.  Auto-update is off by default; I can update my own viruses.

Here are the specs.  Anyone have any ideas?

Its your processor I think. I dont know your MB but when I went to an X2 processor a whole world of possiblities opened up. Im working on getting into an AM2 setup now but I am still doing research on which way to go. I like the looks of the ASUS M2N MB but they recommend the 4200 corsair ram I think it is and there is much faster ram available. This is where it gets confusing for me.
If you like the Sick Puppy Custom Sound Pack the please consider contributing for future updates by sending a months dues to Hitech Creations for account "Chalenge." Every little bit helps.
