My challenge to those who are bored:

Find a  Panzer or Tiger at El-Alamein in google earth and post the coordinates on the BBs

It will be fun to see if people can find any :aok

Also, look at Chernobyl to scare yourself :noid  :aok

I have doubts
Looking into it now
So far from what I have found. No.
there werent any Tigers at the battle

One source claims the Brits won in part because of the newly arrived superiour Sherman M4s and the lack of advanced german Tigers

Another source points out the battle took place in Sept-Oct And the germans didnit really start usig Tigers in North Africa till mid december

And yet another claims the FIRST German tigers ddint arrive in North Africa Till Nov 23rd

This is the one time in the war the Sherman was a better Tank then the Panzer III and IV.

The Panzer IV still had the short 75 and weak armor.  The III had a 50MM gun that was decent but I think the Sherman could kill it with it's 75 at equal or greater ranges.

the Sherman was easy meat for an 88Flak though.
