Brewster was an "ami" plane.

Sure it was.. and it could fight against P-39:s :) I'll even toss in one more ami plane... P-36 (Curtiss Hawk)
However, none of them are most known about their service in USAAF. Still they all would nicely offer some filling to some of the biggest gaps in the plane set.

IMHO, it would be nice to introduce the new planes in pairs of enemies. Each plane would always come with its most common adversary, or at least other some plane to the enemy side to fill in the gaps.

So P-39's didn't fight 109s, 110, A6Ms, ect ect?

That 2nd part sounds like an interesting idea. Early KIs to shoot at with the 39 would be nice.:p :D

You know they did.
I was simply implying that there actually were fights even between ami planes, just to elaborate on my original pitch.

I am just wishing people could see that there are possibilities outside of the biggest baddest newest best-known super planes...

Any of the aircraft in the original group would be a welcome addition to the game.

Indeed.  Let's be honest.  The P-39 was arguably the worst fighter the US offered the war.  I've seen some people post some stats indicating it may be well suited for AH, but I sincerely doubt it will be anything beyond a 3rd tier plane.  I imagine it will probably bleed E like a sieve.  We'll see.

I actually hope the P-39 will be like the P-40...something that will be absolutely humiliating for the 51 and LaLa addicts to get killed by.    :aok

I think we are probably getting all of them in the original list anyway, so it is not really important which plane comes in first. If people want the P39 so be it. We really do need a good latrine digger. ;)

Bronk,

I have voted for P-39 since 2nd round. Probably I was not very coherent with the above posts, rather sarcastic at first. I am in the thinking that some people will choose B-25 over P-39 simply because Airacobra is not so well known and not a late war super plane.

I was just venting on what I see as a common MA player's wishes and reasoning... faster, better, etc.  (Pretty much a wrong thread for that). Maybe it was Jonny boy's original generalized statement "All is well, American plane wins" that set me off.

Um, the Brewster Buffalo gets that nod.    The Aircobra was better suited for CAS roles and excelled at it.    But, what do I know.    Charlieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
