Probably not. If you read what he typed, he said..
"like they have today." Which means he understands there was no inflight refueling in WWII. He's just some poor kid that wants something he can't have and he made a foolish post. Kind of like you with all this whining since the a-26 was dropped.

--.-- We would have a whole new version of noobs who camp people trying to "REFUL" and it would go to waste sitting there wasting memory on the server because no one would want 2 ttake risk. Oh yeah and if you knew what amounts of gas you needed and how to conserve gas well when not fighting just coasting around. Exp's u wasted ur time getting a plane 30k ur burning alot of fuel up there and not going very fast just shut the engine off and glide to whereever u need to go...And having people in 163's "REFULING"wud suck cause everyone would be able 2 own u anywhere not just hq

OK anyone care to translate this into english for me?? While I'm at it here, do they even teach English Composition in schools anymore? How about the weekly spelling tests? I'm not claiming to be an english wizz or anything but I got a head ache trying to read this post.

I really do have to say that this thread made me die a little inside.

Mid air refueling in WW2 was the single most important mission in winning the war!  You guys have no idea what you're talking about!

No it wasn't.  It was launching B-29's off escort carriers loaded with n00ks.

Well, they did do refueling experiments where drop tanks were held behind a bomber by a hook and a P-38J would snag it on the fuselage, but they decided it was impractical. :noid

But seriously... why would you do that. People would be able to land even more kills if they could just refuel in mid air without having to worry about landing than hoping to god they dont crash while refueling and take-off also its wierd.... when you take-off after having landed without auto-take off enabled the take-off time is cut much shorter I have noticed this alot and it puzzles me.
