I think that HTC should leave it exactly how it is...
I am not ashamed to confess that I am ignorant of what I do not know.

I've no problems with this patch.

I am Red/Green Color blind and have had to adjust each patch. With this current patch...I did not have any adjusting. Kudos to HTC and Crew!

Hi chaps!

I noticed the dark ground, felt very unease, like if I had lost depth percepcion, in here, altitude perception...Strange...

Also strange was the way I blew up 3 109s and 1 P40 in a single Zeke sortie in EW...You know me, I'm a bad shooter!

Looks like 109s are blowing up too easy...Not that I complain about it...Doh, should have kept my mouth shut!!!!

Cheers,

Buildings reflect the sunlight like before, but the earth just seems to suck it. Sun is bright white from sunrise to sunset, but it seems impotent. It does not light the ground or planes like before. It is difficult to tell whether one sees the bottom or the top of the enemy plane nearby.

The water looks like on a cold cloudy day, but at the same time the sky is blue and bright, although quite hazy when climbing higher.

Even at sunset and sunrise the moon has some darker spots than the "night sky" around it. That makes the moon look more like a nearby balloon.

Otherwise there are many nice new things. Bases look much nicer and trees are fine too... if they only weren't so dark, and so evely organized in the forrests.

All these textures and colors may look ok separately, but unfortunately they are not from the same day and time of day or even from same season. The whole becomes confusing.

Keep the water.

Rework the land tiles.

Overall it's got some good points. I stopped and told a squaddie "dude, sweet! check out the transition of that treeline on that hill!"

I do not agree , It's so dark,  that game play for me is almost impossible to judge  depth, I hit the water and the deck in almost all low furballs  :( ,   its to drab olive-green and the sea is way to dark  .

I called Skuzzy for help, He offered up a gama adjustment  fix,   I  tried it and it helps somewhat.

Lot's of work went into this new stuff and I'm sure the HTC crew will get it fixed up in short time ......

   Regards

Guess what ... changing the gamma in Aces High doesn't just apply to Aces High II.  It applies to everything.  So, now all of my games look too bright except Aces High, which still looks funny because the black things are grey.

Are you changing the gamma from within Aces High? If you do that, it applies only to Aces High.

In none of your threads that you posted, including those at 2am, did I see HTC respond.

Nope.  Set the slider to one extreme, alt-tab out of Aces High, and look at your desktop.  Now set it to the other and look again.

It's been said we have three brains, one cobbled on top of the next. The stem is first, the reptilian brain; then the mammalian cerebellum; finally the over developed cerebral cortex.  They don't work together in awfully good harmony - hence ax murders, mobs, and socialism.

Sorry, it's not an issue of GETTING USED TO IT...

It's an issue of headaches, and after seeing this post I realized that I too had a massive headache both nights when I finished playing.

I think the ground looks like ****.  At first I was impressed with varying terrain features such as fields etc...but last night I didn't see a darn thing.  Just an occasional bush followed by forests.

(Dark green blots on an already dark green ground with an occasionally dark green blog)

Personally, I'm with this guy, I'm quiting in a month if they don't change this.  It's ridiculous, looks NOTHING.......I REPEAT, NOTHING like real life...

Looks like a cheesy arcade game now.  If I were in the meeting were someone proposed those colors, I would have to reach across the table and smack whomever suggested it as they clearly do not have a clue as to how things should look.

I agree.  Anyone who says that things look "more realistic" or "better" either is badly in need of spectacles or is being deliberately perverse and contrary.
