Two things... First of all, how are you able to get your tank invisible? And secondly, what is the best way to find invisible tanks?

This has just recently become a problem for me, and I've only noticed it in tank town. I'll be getting shot and killed by tanks that I can't see, even when I look down my barrel at full zoom. I'll see their shells flying at me, but I never see the tank that's fired the shell.

Is something wrong with my graphics settings? Or is this more likely a problem with the new terrain?

It's been a problem for a while but seems to be getting a bit more prevelent over time. I'd guess its a bug thats slowly getting exploited more.

I have a problem where a tanks turret is pointing forward, just like it would when it spawned. But all the sudden, I am about to shoot it, and I see a round come right at me, even though turret is pointing another way.

Shift_F4 - Ground Vis Mode

Objects, including GVs will not be rendered outside your Ground Detail Range slider setting (under Graphic Detail), unless you are in Ground Vis Mode.

Shift_F1 goes back to normal Vis Mode.

That's what I thought it was at first, but it didn't make a difference.

Make a bug report if available game options wont correct the problem.  For best results, try to capture it on film and provide it to HTC so they can use their developer tools to dissect the problem.  Providing your system info or dxdiag also helps.

I think more often then not, an invisable tank, plane, flak gun or aircraft carrier for that matter is more a case of not seeing the one that gets you rather then a bug.
If a tank is shooting at you from a conceled position(in trees, behind grass etc..) he may not be invisable just conceled from your veiw.
I had the same thing happen in reverse to me, one of the L.T.A.R.'s was shooting up a v-base from a patch of woods, I drove out to flank him, I was able to get in very close when i realized that from his point of veiw he couldn't see me due to the woods and in piticular the grass he was hideing in was blocking his veiw, easy kill.
ON 200 ch he claimed i was invisable, until he realized what had happend. his veiw was blocked by the grass, the same grass conceled me and allowed me to see him from the other side.
not to say that there are no "bugs" and that what you saw was not one, just that it's more likely there was a player in tt that found himself a good spot.
Even your best buddys don't share the best spots to pick the biggest strawberrys, I don't think anyone who could make their tank invisable could keep it a secret from HTC.
Some days your the bug some days your the windsheild.
