It doesn't QUITE turn as well as some. It has a nice envelope where it turns great, until it bogs down at slow speeds, then wallows around. Once you hit that point you're in trouble. Until that point, it turns great.

I've never seen what most see in either the C.202 or C.205.  In my opinion, both are mediocre planes at best with no real strengths and a lot of weaknesses that can be easily exploited.

The guns are fine if you are close and the enemy is early/weaker planes.  I've got 8 kills in one sortie in a 202 in the CT.  I've hit 6 & 7 kills in it as well.

(looks around furtively)

Well, of course, the 205 is a pig.

The 202, on the other hand, is just a delightful plane to fly, almost as nice as the spits, a bit faster than the Spit 5, I think, and you don't have to wear a skirt to fly one.  Very light on the controls, responsive, good climb and turn, and holds well in a dive.  Because the guns were supplied by the Daisy company, it's a true challenge to get kills with it, and this is part of its attraction.

- oldman (P-38 drivers would probably not understand this) (202 v. 38G is a lot of fun, though)

Well they pack on the perk points pretty fast if you need some. For a while there I was doing pretty good in the 205. Now for what ever reason I can't seem to buy a kill in one.

Anyway I can't say anything about the 202 being I've only flown it once or twice, but the 205 isn't that bad of a plane if you have some alt. Once the fight gets slows it seems to suck real bad IMO.
